Today was Legs & Back + Ab Ripper X. Legs and Back is a good workout. Lots of variety including some moves I've never done before but are pretty effective. My legs are strong, so the fact that this was challenging was good for me. I loved the wall squats. I can show off a little bit there.
About halfway into the workout, you do something called a 3 Way Squat. I love this move. You are doing squats in 3 different directions with a Karate kick after each one, non-stop, several times for each leg. I do Kenpo X tomorrow, so that should be fun for me since I've been wanting to get back into Martial Arts for the longest time.
You're also doing pull-ups, which is boring for me because I don't have a bar. I substitute with a resistance band, but I snapped my band on the first day so I need a better band.
As for the Ab Ripper X portion of the workout, I almost didn't do it because I was tired and sweating like an animal. I went for it anyway after a 10 minute break and was shocked with my progress. This is the 3rd time doing it (and final time for this week) and this time I got about 85% more done as opposed to the 66% I was able to complete before. I had to push myself, true enough, but it was worth it when I felt my core was actually stronger. 3 workouts, and I am feeling it. My abs and obliques have been pretty sore every day this week. I'm tellin' you, if I ever get to the point where I have even just a 4 pack, you will not be able to tell me NOTHIN'!!!
